  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Sunday April 10.11 My 16 yr old friend was killed in a car accident. A 22 yr old boy that I went to middle school with was driving and killed as well. It was a terrible, tradgic accident. My best friend is the 16 yr old sister. The hardest part is being there with the family. Trying to help them through. I dont know what to say. A few of them have a lot of anger towards God, going as far as saying there is no god because how could he allow a innocent 16 yr old to be killed in such a horrible way. I know it is going to take a lot of time to heal. And hopefully within that time the anger can be let ago. Idk... I feel like God is the only thing that has gotten me through this and has kept me head up and so strong. I called to god almost a yr ago. And have my children in church. which now I am so thankful I made that route change in life because it was so hard when my 5 yr old was told about her friend. She cried for almost 2 hours. But now she tells everyone dont cry James is in Heaven and has angel wings. She understands it very well for a 5 yr. Thank you Lord for that. I've buried to many young friends at the age of 23 myself. This one really hits home because of having to be side by side with my best friend. But I still feel okay. Thank you Lord. Not sure what exact meaning to this thread was for. Just needed to ramble and ask to Please keep me, my family and friends in your prayers. Any advice on grief please note. Thanks God Bless

death is viewed by Christians in many different ways, and most veiws are wrong. death is not evil, but merely a step that all must take into the presence of God. Also as the Bible puts it, Jesus said When His friend Died that he was asleep. Eccs. says that the day of ones death is better than the day of ones birth. think about Job's thought man's days are full of trouble as the sparks fly upper. sparks will fly up from a fire , and with our birth, this begins our days that are going to be full of trouble. so we die, if we have trusted God we enter into a much better place with that death. So as these parents ask why does this happen to an Innocent child or the most asked question is why do bad things happen to good people. well the truth of that is there is no good people we are all evil. I have a three year old granddaughter, who already knows how to lie. I had to bury my Oldest daughter at 19 years old, the thing that I hang on to, the one thing that keeps me going other than my other kids of Course, is what one of my uncles said at the funeral home, Think about death as David did when He lost His child that they can't come back to us, but one day we can go to where they are at, in other words think of it as if this friend of yours is just on a trip, and she can not come back to us, but one day by the grace of God we can go to where she is at.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

I have been blessed to be shown death- taught spiritually... So I know to our eyes we think oh it must have been painful.. Thats not true for Children of God. You don't feel the pain.

Many people are upset with God because of a lost loved one this is not the first time I heard this.. But, I believe they are upset because they don't understand the spiritual aspect of God. We never die.. just our flesh dies.. and when we return to the Lord we continue to live if of the Lord. In the afterlife - thats when you are free.. So we must remember that they are free and being cared for- and we also don't understand that we still have things to accomplish once we pass in flesh.. So when we return home it is with a great purpose in the Lord.. He has work for them to do..

All The Glory Belongs To God Forever!
