CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was still "sitting" here in the thread but I was away from my computer eating dinner. Earlier I was talking with someone in PM and fixing dinner. I was behind in the thread so if she was asking to swap I didn't see it until much later.

There is nothing we can do and nothing to feel bad about.
We come here and try to make deals.
It is not a given that someone is waiting to deal with someone that comes in or that someone will even.
We are not just sitting in this thread all day watching who comes in and hurrying to swap.
We come in and post and check back.
The thread takes patience sometimes to swap.
That is just how it is.

You know we gab, go to other threads at the same time, do PMs, and do stuff at home. Posts get lost and if they don't get lost in the shuffle people are doing other things and don't respond right away.

Sounds about what goes on here with me.
I have several browser windows open. I'm looking at other things besides here. I'm dealing with things at home. Phone calls came in from my younger sister and then my mom. By the time I got back in here I was two pages behind.
