    It isn't that your conscience serves no purpose at all, only that, as I said, it may be misled or corrupted and so it is not the best, most certain way, of discerning right from wrong. Knowing this, God has given us both His Spirit and His word to guide us morally. But your conscience does communicate the "law of God written on the heart." The human conscience gives us all a basic sense of moral right and wrong, though that sense may be dulled, warped or ignored (and often is).

    Sure Christ died once and for all but because we can step in and out of God's truth, walking through time, we can build into new but still also build in wrong. Anything we build with God's loving truth will survive His fire, but anything not build in His truth will burn up. Time and again. This is because of our choices. Choices for good in His Spirit find eternal life therein or chooses in wrong spirituality and we loose our God given good life to the predators and have to find God's loving truth back again.

    It is about learning to die to the old living in our flesh and growing into the new of God's Spirit. That is not just an one off, but a daily, dying to sin and finding newness of life in God's loving truth. Each minute saved in His loving truth is so worth it, while each moment we spend outside of His loving truth is wasted time, dead works, judgement and death.

    A glory to Jesus for saving His people from their sins and casting sin dead and resurrecting newness of life in Him.

    Christ’s reputation was assured by his behavior in spite of death threats and his execution. Christ rose three days later. If you do God’s will, you will not lose your reward.

    Isaiah 57:1-4
    The righteous perish,
    and no one takes it to heart;
    the devout are taken away,
    and no one understands
    that the righteous are taken away
    to be spared from evil.
    Those who walk uprightly
    enter into peace;
    they find rest as they lie in death.

    “But you—come here, you children of a sorceress,
    you offspring of adulterers and prostitutes!
    Who are you mocking?
    At whom do you sneer
    and stick out your tongue?
    Are you not a brood of rebels,
    the offspring of liars?

    God saves you cleansed from your sins in His loving truth, but when you run of with the lie again then your inner truth is not in His truth any more, so the time you spend in lies will have to be cut off by His truth so your truth can be restored into His eternal truth again.

    Its best to understand that the sheep in us - those in us who hear his voice and obey Him - are always saved but the goats in us are never saved but perish. Daily it is for us to decide which side of truth we build our reality in.

    So yes life in His loving truth will continue forever, even if we get killed by the lies ruling our hearts, God will resurrect this faithful self again in His loving truth down the track. Revelation 20:4-6

    Life in His Spirit can never get lost but life in wrongful spirituality will always perish out of us.

    Hebrews 4:12-13
    For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

    Dead works are the works that lead to death, which are our sins in transgression of God's Law. Our conscience is informed by the highest level or moral law that we believe. However, our conscience part of our fallen nature, so it is not perfect, which is why Paul said in 1 Corinthians 4:3 that even though he was not aware of anything against himself he was not justified. So our conscience helps us to live in accordance with the moral law, but it does not replace it, and therefore is not the ultimate determiner of our spiritual condition. Our conscience is capable of warning us when our spiritual condition is in danger, but it is not God's Law, and needs to be informed by God's Law in order to function correctly.

    In Romans 14, there are weak Christians whose conscience is not informed in a mature way, where their conscience won't let them do what they really would be free to do, so again our conscience does not replace God's Law. Someone's conscience can be so misinformed that their glory is in their shame (Philippians 3:19), where both their mind and their conscience are defiled (Titus 1:15). So the first way to destroy the work of conscience is to misinform it where you don't give it the true Law of God and the second way is to silence it when it speaks. In 1 Timothy 4:2, Paul spoke about a wounded or seared conscience, and a good indicator of this is if someone sees nothing wrong with continuing to do what God has revealed in His Law to be sin.
