Dead Like Me

Great series made in Canada, and only lasted 2 (short) seasons.

Has anybody else watched it, and what did you think?

Personally, I put it up there with MASH and Buffy as among the greats (These are the only three series I thought well enough of to spend good money on.

I loved Dead Like Me, I'm not planning on buying the DVD's, but I did recently get them all from netflix to watch from beginning to end again.

I didn't mind it but it wasn't on here for a long time. I don't like things when they are totally unbelievable like the little creatures and stuff. But I guess others would have loved that.

Actually I was not all that interested in the reaping bits myself. The series to me was more about the discovery by people who all totally failed in life (and if you follow the entire series, this is true of all the reapers) only discovered what it is like to be human, and learn to care for others, both living and dead, after they died.

This is especially true of George, an 18 year old girl, who was a complete loser, and only discovered after she had been hit by a toilet seat from falling space junk and died (I am not making this up), that there was something to life and family after all.

As a non-religious person (read: atheist), I found it a moving and emotional series, and I am sorry that it was not picked up for a third season.

I love it. Instant classic. I'm disappointed that it ended where it did.

I've only seen the first season (which I own on DVD). I'd like to get season two sometime and watch it.

I don't remember it being on in Australia but I love reading TV scripts online and read a few for this show and really liked it. I would have loved to see it acted out and everything though.

I'm on the last DVD of the first season through Netflix. I don't like the Mom, Dad, daughter bits and usually fast forward through them but I really enjoy the reaper parts. I particularly like the episode "Nighthawks" and have watched it three times already since yesterday. I find it interesting that everyone comes to the same question: "Why am I here?". Can't say more without spoiling those who haven't seen it.

Well tonight (tusday july 25/06) They are showing two episodes on sci-fi. So ill check it out tonight.

I had no idea untill i saw the commercials that mandi pitaki was in them.

Well i watched them and i did enjoy them although i was expecting a little more out of the show, but i did only see the 2nd and 3rd episode. Asnd no i dont know what the frog is about.

The frog shows up in the show many times. The thing just shows up and stays.

I bought both season sets and I'm about to wear them out. I wish they'd done an episode with more Kiffany and what she knows and what she thinks about it. She waits their table every day and they don't watch what they say around her. They're constantly mentioning "dead" and "undead". And she just takes it in stride.
