I have been thinking about starting to listen to dc talk. So what do you think about them. What is their music like?

DC Talk is mostly just an easy listening rock. Their lyrics are really good.

i used to Listen to them in like forth grade. Ya they are a great band.

light rap rock, some inspirational and mellow, some fun some intense. Every song has a good messege.

there a fairly good band. although not all songs do have a good message like the others say. some of the songs on there older cd's dont really seem to have much of a message at all. Although there newer songs are quite well done and have some excelent messages.

Stylistically they've changed quite a bit over the years. Jesus Freak is my favorite album of theirs. I recently picked up their first album on CD for old times' sake- it's hilariously horrible! My motives for listening to rap were more aimed at being rebellious than enjoying the music, I guess. I hope that's the reason I listened to it- I refuse to believe that I actually enjoyed it.

I havent listened to their first release, but the rest of them don't have any bad messages. They inspired me to give my life to Christ. I like their "Welcome to the Freak Show Live" release. Really rocks up the music, but the message is great.

DC Talk rock, rap (and most styles in between). I hope the guys get back together. ChristianTeen, a great CD to listen to would be from the recently released 8 Great Hits series. It has a broad variety of songs from their pure rap days to the rock stuff that they finished up with. The series also has Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline and some other bands/artists. Your local Christian bookstore/music retailer should have it.

The words are fine (if a tad corny); it's the music that's pretty bad on their first album.
