What occurred to me, is none of us can really marry with other gods in actuality, rather it is done in our minds. So, since we who are divorced by God, cannot remarry another God, it is always possible for God to take us back.

Since there are no other gods, then with God remarrige in fact, cannot occur, so there is no violation in God's own Laws of Old, for Him to take us back.

It was in reading Jeremiah, and the book before that or the one after that, one day, when I realized, it is technically impossible to commit adultery with God, even though I might harlot after other so-called gods, since no other God, exists.

Marriage with God is forever. Divorce by God, is a response to us going after other gods.

There are other gods, but no other God. Money, success, power, influence, celebrity, affluence; all of these can cause us to be unfaithful to God. It is far from impossible, sadly.

Talking about the evils of the wild woman...

7 And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,

12 Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)

As i was reading chapter 7, this verse stood out for me:

verse 2:

Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.

especially where it says "apple of thine eye"...

reminds me of David and how he was the "apple of God's eye" and in conjunction with that, it is written that he was "a man after God's own heart".

how precious is THAT?

It must be encouraging us to "embrace to our hearts" as David did, God's wisdom and guidance and direction.

Does that seem strange. It did to me. The first day when I saw Jesus, Eucharistically. "Oh The Big Bad God of the Universe is Tender and mild" Those were my words to Him, after I was informed. Never did I know that, till I was informed. Never did I suspect that, as I know of Sodom. I know of The Walls of Jerico. I know. Who would ever think, that was all done out of love.

Who?

In reading Proverbs 7, these verses stood out for me:

14 I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.

This (peace offerings) seems to indicate that she "went through the motions" so to speak, of some "religion" of spme sort.

19 For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey:

This indicates that she is married to a "good" man, as she testifies with her own mouth here, yet she betrays her husband, this "good man" deliberately and abominably.

Despicable.

4 Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,”
and to insight, “You are my relative.”

from the wayward woman with her seductive words.

in reading Proverbs 7, verse 12 stood out for me:

"Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)"

This is saying that this woman is essentially, a "predator", in that she "lies in wait" for the unsuspecting.

She sorta; "ambushes" them.

The rest of Proverbs gives a warning and the "armor" to not fall prey to any of her wiles, and the wise take heed.
