He’s fine I’m sure. He was slowly stepping away from this place for quite some time. He was really devoted to teaching his kids the Catholic Faith. Last I knew he was teaching his daughter Latin, which she called the beautiful language and was considering a family move out of state.I hate to say it, but maybe he’s deceased? I can only pray for his safety.

Curiosity question:
Which state was he in and which state was he considering a move to ?
He and I both were concerned about our respective internet profiles and never shared much personal data. It's a necessity in this big interwebs of ours but unfortunately that lead to this: "Where did everyone go ?"
In truth, I don't want to track him down, I just want to make sure he's ok.
(I lost a lot of people between '19 and '23)
We talked on PM. I’m not going to talk about where he lived and where he was considering moving. I sent Catholic items to him and his kids.Curiosity question:

Yeah I feel like I remember talking about just backing off from CF to spend more time with his family. Would be cool to hear from him though! He’s fine I’m sure. Wow! Hi David! Glad you checked in. Did you all ever move or are you still living in the same place?I'm not dead, just busy living. I got a feeling to check out OBOB.
We are all good. Still working at the library, 25 years this year. Family is doing well. My daughter is 15 now and my son is 11. We still homeschool and that is moving along well. It's been very rewarding. My wife is fully remote from home for work since the pandemic and that has been wonderful.
I spend a good deal of time volunteering with scouts. I am the chair of Catholic Scouting for my diocese. I am spending some time right now getting the annual scout mass together for the diocese where we honor all the scouts who earned their Catholic Scouting awards.
I am getting my daughter ready for Confirmation.
All in all it's a great life. Thanks be to God.
I don't plan to get involved with forum posting again. Life is a bit busy for that. But I will be around a bit to say hi to people. How is everyone?
Still in the same place. We looked around for a bit but home is here. We thought very strongly about moving closer to my wifes parents after they retired but they moved closer to us (they still live at a beach). We will probably look at moving again once the kids finish college. Our lives are settled where we are for now.Wow! Hi David! Glad you checked in. Doing good. My mother is living with us now and we are taking care of her as well as my mother in law. My stepdad passed away a couple of years ago. A lot has happened but too much to type out here. So how are your kids coming along in Latin? I imagine they are quite the experts by now.Still in the same place. We looked around for a bit but home is here. How are you? It's good to catch up with people.

Sounds like things have come along beautifully with the children. I’m glad to hear they are both still growing in their Faith. Is your daughter looking at any particular career at this point? Both are doing very well in Latin. My daughter decided to learn German and Russian on her own so I had to learn a bit of those. Thank goodness I was always good with languages. The hardest to learn has been Japanese. But her Girl Scout troop is going to Japan for a trip in a few years. Thankfully I have friends who teach English in Japan and they were here visiting with their new baby so I was able to practice conversation.
But they love Latin. She still calls it the beautiful language.
She is doing well in all her classes. Since she started High School last year I told here there is a lrage research paper due senior year and she should start thinking about topics. She chose to focus on how the lack of passing down faith has impacted the transmission of ethic food cultures since so much of that is tied to feast days and communal celebration.
My son is 11 a bit of a hurrcane with dirt on it...but he is a very kind boy. He did so well with his knots at scouting last week that the older boys in the patrol are having him lead teaching the cubs some at a recruiting event next week. I am happy that they get along so well even with her now being a teenager. She always has time for him and he is very respectful of her time and need for space.

You’re a great Dad!She is thinking of a few things:
Nutritional anthropology
Psychology
Getting a two year business degree and running a craft business.
I told her my job is to help you be who God made you to be. So you tell me what your interests are and I will get you the info and practice to make a decision. And don't fear making a "wrong" choice at first. Each path has value in forming us.
