  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

He's a very eccentric artist. I like a lot of his stuff. I really liked his collaboration with Trent Reznor, I'm afraid of Americans.

Of course you do :ok:

I enjoy some of his songs, but much of it is unaccessible to me. I just don't feel it. "Afraid of Americans" is probably my favorite.

"Heroes" is great; I love that song. :) His music is pretty interesting from what I've heard.

I love the story behind that song.

Heroes, Space Oddity, The Man Who Sold the World, Changes, Life on Mars, Ziggy Stardust, Sorrow, Fame, Golden Years, Ashes to Ashes, Modern Love...Too many to mention. :D

I liked him first in the '80's when I heard "Modern Love," "Let's Dance," and "China Girl." That was it. I was sold. After seeing the movie "Labyrinth" (I bought the soundtrack) I was a life-long fan. He can do no wrong--glad to have him.
