most likely in his own mind. I read the article and this is what he expects to be one of the results of his fast and isolation:

The one time I saw him on tv he made me very uneasy (in my soul) and I've not watched him since then.

Well, he's trying to out-do Jesus by 4 days.

The difference being that Jesus went out teaching after his stint in the wilderness. DB is going to spend a month in hospital recovering.

I agree, Jeff. DB's magic is cool. It's different, refreshing, and I guess that's why he sells.

But his other stuff (standing on a post, standing in ice, spending 44 days in a glass box) are just weird. He's pretty unpopular here, we're hearing about him and his box every day on the news. People have been trying to cut the water pipe.

He is making himself look bizarre. He's not making Christians look bad. People know he's a crack-pot, and they're not going to judge Christianity on that basis. And if they do...

he says Jesus is an entertainer and so is he.

The way he levitates is all in angles. he lifts up on one toe and the other foot and his pants leg hides it. then they cut the image and have him do a levitation with strings to make it look real. it's all just sleight of hand and stuff like that. I admire his will power and everything but he is crazy and I think he is the antichrist (well, he could be). Probably not, but times are near.
