Please pray that my oldest daughter will find a decent apartment soon before we kill each other. she will be 23 in May and it is time for her to move. but if it is not God s will for her to leave right now please stop us from bickerin so much.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

God bless you for your compassion for yer daughter. I pray you can come closer and agree on more things than you argue, that God brings oppertunity to your daughter and she can be independent.

it is growing pains. she was on her own at college for four years and having to live at home has been a big adjustment. I also think the fact that her boyfriend is on his own has a lot to do with it.

I was wondering. Have you established any rules for engagement?
Certain people are bound to be and irritant to one another. If you set certain guidelines in writing and both of you sign and agree to those guidelines and stick with them you may find in each other how much you really need each other. Alot of healing can take place but it takes commitment on both parts to make it work. It can be very painful but in the end it's worth it.
The key is to listen try to understand and feed back that understanding for the enemy to confirm or deny. I took a class in it and can't remember the name of it. I was always amazed at how scripturely oriented it was.

After spending the last 4 years bickering with my mother, the last year or so has been the worst, I moved out and now I miss her terribly! We talk on the phone weekly, and our relationship has strengthened SO Much! (While she still drives me nuts with her "You should move home, I promise we won't fight") My thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughter! I hope things get better soon! Sometimes moving out is for the best, and I hope you two can gain what my mother and I did!
