CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

As an older person, I just don't get this dating online thing. Whatever happened to boy meets girl in everyday situations. Meeting electronically doesn't sound very romantic to me.
If you are a Christian and want to meet other Christian's then I would have thought your church would be a good place. There must be good opportunities to meet and speak to people after the service is over.
But hey, your profile indicates you are from Ireland. Ireland is full of beautiful woman, many of them looking for true love and Ireland is considered to be a Christian country, so you are sitting on a gold mine.
Maybe you want your dates arranged online because you feel that way there is less chance of rejection, but facing rejection is all part of the learning process when it comes to finding true love and remember, each rejection is one step closer to finding someone you want to spend the rest of your life with.
So my advice to you is to forget about online dating and to get out there in the thick of it all and strut your stuff.
It was a long long time ago for me, but a very exciting time and after a few rejections and near misses I hit the jackpot.
I don't know about online dating, but the words of that old song come to mind, "There ain't nothing like the real thing baby."

Online dating merely increases your potential dating pool. Quite frankly, the real world doesn't provide as many opportunities to meet someone as you might think. Typically we are all on our ways somewhere with little to no time for such interactions or one finds themselves constantly in around unavailable or uninterested ppl.
