I should add that in my experience a guy will get really interested in me and adore me and seem like he feels lucky to be with me and then he gets bored and goes away. It's not always that way, of course, and maybe it wouldn't be that way now, but that may be why it never occured to me to be concerned about him getting too attached.

Oh, don't worry, I wasn't even the slightest bit offended. It's a fair question.
thanks...I appreciate the discussion with you and the others in the thread...it's got me thinking :)

Honestly, I just don't know. I mean, at this point, it is all just talk anyway. I guess it never occured to me that a guy would get attached to me

Thank you. It does make me wonder though, am I just not pretty enough or interesting enough or what. I can't be perfect. I just can't be, no matter how hard I try I can't be everything that everyone wants me to be, it's too hard. I must be getting wiser as I get older lol.

It's interesting how the girls worry about being pretty enough... I worry about having enough money.

Hmm, interesting. I think it must be the way men and women are socialized. I bet the right woman won't care about how much money you have, though. Not to brush off your concerns, it's totally understandable. I don't know, I think as far as women go I may be an odd one since money makes me twitchy.

Locality plays a part. This is a very upscale area and incomes are quite high. My county, and the county adjacent to mine have the very highest median and average family incomes in the country #2 and #1 respectively.

So basically, there are a lot of gold diggers around here who wouldn't settle for a guy like me when they can get an even higher ranking overpaid government employee or contractor ^_^

See this is why money makes me twitchy.

Yep...it seems to be how we are made...

I think that is true though about the right man for you Heather - he is going to think you're beautiful and you're not going to care how much moeny he makes...

I have dated more than one guy at a time and would do it again in the future if the situation presented itself. I have found that the "relationships" typically work themsevles out in the sense that the guy that I'm more compatible with typically ends up seeing more of me until the other guy(s) get weeded out naturally.

I have also dated just one guy at a time, which is fine, too. I just like to keep my options open until I know for sure I'm really compatible with someone.

Gotcha...

I think it's interesting to see how everyone does things and how we each think on this subject...

Now if only I could really get multiple guys interested in dating me all at the same time then I could really come up with a solution to this dilemma! LOL! ^_^
