For some reason, my computer no longer loads java, so I'm out of chat until I can figure out what the freaking deal is.

Norton deletes 1 little adware program and suddenly a key Windows DLL file ends up missing? And then the Windows CD, rather than reinstalling the missing file, overwrites the whole operating system? What's up with that? What happened to the good old "learn how to fix your own computer by exhaustively reading help files" days? Now, your PC automatically assumes that you're retarded and does everything for you whether you want it to or not.

Long story short- I'm still trying to reconfigure my system. No chat for me.

I'M BACK IN BUSINESS!!!

The issue was that when Windows XP overwrote itself it wiped out my java platform and since Sun Microsystems and Microsoft are quibbling over some stupid thing or another, Virtual Machine isn't a standard part of Windows' software anymore. I just went to Sun's website and downloaded their java platform and now chat is working again.

So Tenor, if you're still having a problem, try downloading that platform and see if it doesn't fix your problem.

No, that is not the problem I have now.....

The problem that I have is the Internet Filter that I have (BSafe online from the American Family Filter co.) Will not allow ANY enterance into chat rooms. Its a good thing I guess Keeps from getting file 2 file transfers and that kind of thing.

But other than that I have been up and runnign just fine for about a week.

Hope everyone has had a good week and that they have not been suffering in the heat and humidity like we have over here in VA. It royally sucks!!!! The heat index here was 114 @ Maymont State Park in Richmond itself today.

Just try and stay cool.

Southern California is going through the June Gloom, so it's been pretty overcast and cool (mid 70s) for the last few days. Hopefully we start getting some sunshine again soon. I just spent good money on new sunglasses and I'd like to use them!

Texas is hot and humid...it will probably hit almost 100 today. it's been in the 90s all week. It's soooo icky outside, but at least the rain is gone for now! Hopefully we won't get more tornados!
