Date With Jesus

Feeling misunderstood,
And like no one was by my side,
I clung to my only love,
Named Jesus,
With his great compassion,
He carries me,
To a safe place,
Called Eternity,
Where all my current problems are no more,
And with jesus I dwelt,
While the Joy pf the Lord was full,
And engolfing the heavens,
Where the joy of the Lord continually flowed,
And always went on never stopping,
At anyone but the Saviors first command.

Choppy and forced, there doesn't seem to be a true rhyme or pattern to this poem. It's basically a lower form of chopped up prose. Try tweaking with it to add more unity, because as it is, it's just a glop.

Hi A.P.,

I thought the poem was okay . The last line was a little difficult to decipher ;
but after reading it 3 times I think I caught your gist ... that no one can cause the joy the Lord gives us to cease .

Oh , and one small point of improvement - it's engulfing not engolfing , but I knew what you meant , anyhow .

I understood the meaning of the poem....poems do not have to rhyme. Not many say bad things about my stuff but I know they are not the best. But to me, my poems are the greatest because they say what is deep inside of me that I can't say any way else. If people understand it and feel what you felt when you wrote it...that is what makes it good

Your poem carries special meaning. No matter how people critique you, it is yours. The words came from your heart. Only you can comprend what you mean. The world can despise you or judge you but God will always love you. I thought it had a deep message in it. I enjoyed reading it. God bless
