The Sun burns a lot of energy, but some stars burn a million times that much energy. Fusion doesn't work at explaining why they haven't fallen into COMPLETE disorder over billions of years.

This is what happens when someone who is completely ignorant regarding thermodynamics attempts to use it to prove a point. If ever anyone needed motivation to learn basic physics, this guy's post should provide it.

The 2ndLoT says matter falls into disorder over time.

No! The second law of thermodynamics says:
In general it is impossible to perform a transformation whose only final result is to convert into useful work heat extracted from a source that is at the same temperature throughout. This statement is Lord Kelvin's version of the second law of thermodynamics. Another version of this law, formulated by R. J. E. Clausius, states that a transformation is impossible whose only final result is to transfer heat from a body at a given temperature to a body at higher temperature; in other words, the spontaneous flow of heat from hot to cold bodies is reversible only with the expenditure of mechanical or other nonthermal energy. These two versions of the second law of thermodynamics can be shown to be entirely equivalent.

http://www.encyclopedia.com/html/section/thermody_TheSecondLawofThermodynamics.asp

Some confusion has arisen because in one formulation of information theory, the introduction of noise, or signal degradation, was referred to as "entropy". But information theory is not thermodynamics, and the term "entropy" does not mean the same thing in thermodynamics as it does in information theory.

No, it doesn't, and if you'd bothered to read the OP you'd remember the guy who lost the argument to Darwin, Lord Kelvin? He's one of the men who was involved in coming up with the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, which you are so abusing. I think he of all people would know if the stars violated those laws. In fact, the age was deduced using the laws of thermodynamics, amongst others.

Er... yes. I minored in nuclear physics, so I know a little something about fission. I guess I was not clear enough on the sarcasm. I thoroughly support the point of the OP (at least, as I understand it).

Oh, sorry. :) I thought you thought we were being serious. So much junk gets said by certain people here, sometimes it's hard to tell what's sarcasm and what is real stupidity.

The Sun SHOULD have fallen into complete disorder a long time ago if it's as old as you say it is.

You have absolutely no idea as to what you are talking about, do you. Entropy, disorder, thermodynamics; these are whimsical words to you. Please, make at least a minor effort to understand the phenomena, then come back and we'll talk.

No prob. Plus, you missed a little something, I said fission, where I should have said fusion. Oh well. Its been 20 years since college, I think I am losing it. Well, they taught more about fission than fusion anyway (there are more practical applications for fission than fusion).

I noticed, but I didn't really think it important enough to clarify. ;)
