Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, spoke to congress on the anniversary of Columbine. His words are extremely powerful. As usual the media didn't report it.

Here is a small excerpt:

Men and women are three part beings: we have a body, and we have a soul, and we have a spirit ... And I believe we fail to recognize that third element, that really does need to be recognized by the legislative bodies of this country, that's been ignored for so long. Spiritual influences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries, and we know this is a historic fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We've refused to honor God, and in doing so we opened the doors to hatred and violence.

Unfortunately, many liberals simply resort to pointing out that there was some sort of conspiracy surrounding Rachel Scott and what happened to her during that incident. Rather than focusing on the father's words and the importance they hold, they're more interested in making a mockery of that day and why people died. In their minds, it seems that they only believe that a person would be killed because they were gay or non-Christian. Killing someone because they are a Christian never happens in the US, according to some liberals that I know.

Until people can acknowledge that it's not only gays and non-Christians who are hurt daily, it won't matter what people like Darrell Scott say.
