DARKTIMES
Have you ever wondered, just what the future holds?
Have you ever pondered, just why the darkness grows?
Have you just considered, just why you seem to thirst?
A gentle little reminder, that Jesus walked there first
Is your heart in trouble, while calling on His name?
Is your spirit weakened, thinking of your shame?
Do you feel unworthy, to even lift your head?
That's when He's the nearest, First risen from the dead.
There is not a valley, that He has not been in
Nor is there a darkness, that He hasn't seen
Thorns they did stay with Him, while He conquered all
Lifted up upon a cross to save man from man's fall
Oceans of His Mercy, flow from rivers deep
By The Blood of Jesus, His children He does keep
Crying to The Savior, just let your spirit weep
A tear that's shed by one of His, is precious at His feet
In all your daily failings, of stumbling along
all ways that you may think about, considering it all
Gentle is the Spirit, who says to you at times
"Jesus walked before you, so now just walk behind"
His Grace, it is sufficient
to keep you in His will
Just lay your cares upon His Heart
and waiting, just be still
Your heart to Him is precious
your faults to Him are known
your sins they are not hidden
His Grace, in that, is shown
An enemy does come along,
to say accusing things
of sins long past,
of shadows cast
what trouble this can bring
His raging is like fire,
to take away your faith
he seems to take your prayers from you
and cast them in your face
He tells you of your troubles,
and all that you have done
not knowing in the fire,
walks God's Only Begotton Son
With oil of temptation,
he casts it at the flame
but behind the vail of torment,
there is another Name
A pitcher full of mercy,
He holds in His right hand
The water of His Word is tossed,
to help you understand
Unseen by the deceiver,
He answers in the flame
He says to you His child
"Just call upon My Name"
"I said I'll never leave you,
nor cast your soul without
even in your heartache,
and in your deepest doubt"
"My Grace it is sufficient,
so now I will become
your strength in this your weakness,
for I have overcome"
"My laughter is your comfort,
I send to you today
For in the life I gave for you,
your debt I fully paid"
"The fire that seems hopeless,
in this I've walked before
the tempters words I've listened to,
and who did hear before?"
"My time was one of sorrow,
to take away your pain
My heart was fully broken,
so strength that you may gain"
"In all of your temptations,
I was tempted, but much more
But now I do remind you,
Did not I walk before?"
"For who was there to call for me,
none that I could call on
Yet still I conquered all for thee,
your sorrow for a song"
"With Joy I help you on your feet,
With Grace I paid a debt for thee,
With Love I still do shelter thee,
My Mercy it will comfort thee"
I listen to the Words that speak
my tears are shed at Jesus feet
and hearing Him whos heart does beat
within His heart, I find my feet
Again, I rise, from on my knees
for He has heard my faintest pleas
and as He has in past to me
Has given me, His Victory
