Darkness is falling!

It really saddens my heart for all that I see, not in the world but in the body of Christ.

Matthew 24:10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

This is just one of many verse I see pushing towards the hatered of others and wickedness in the churches. Now should be a time we put aside our petty ideas and seek the Lord like never before. That we take off our flesh and put on the Spirit. As these days become more and more evil we need to stand firm, unitied with one another seeking the common goal and that is the glory of God which is in Christ Jesus. I have seen agrue among one's belief over another, some pushing towards things of this world, and even some just not showing compassion at all. I just wanted to say these things because of the distress in my heart that the enemy is winning because we our allow him to divide us. We all face the same enemy and have the same commander. Should we not all join as one? The days of darkness are fast approahing and are already here. Let us pushing at this one goal show the light of Christ shines brighter then any other time in the churches history!!!! It all starts with each one of us to decide on the things of God or the things of the flesh, you decide!

Thank you for posting this, it is sadly so true, yet so simple to solve.

It saddens me as well. It seems to be more common in the body of Christ because time is short.

What also saddens me is when I see those who are Christians get offended over petty things and leave or stir up decention in a church. We aren't suppose to act like the world.

Our pastor's wife put it this way one Sunday morning in our prayer room. She had a vision of hedges and she noticed that there were little strands shooting out by themselves when the rest of the hedges were perfectly trimmed and in unison. The Holy Spirit spoke to her and told her that there are those who think that they can venture out on their own and think that they need others in the body of Christ. Yet in doing this, they stick out and can cause harm to the others. They don't realize that when they get off on their own that they are missing out on a blessing as well as those that God wants them to reach out to. (Did that make sense? It has been a long day. =) ) We have to be unified. Look at our country for example. It is more divided than ever. The church needs to be an example to the world. Even denominations are divided and we as the body of Christ need to focus on connecting with other churches in our communities for the Kingdom of God.

Sorry that this is so long. We need to be interceding for the body of Christ as a whole.

Sadly, until the Lord comes there will be no end to the infighting within Christianity. It is sad, and pointless, but it happens none the less, and will never stop.

Yes, the fighting won't stop. It pains me just like the rest of u. If every christian came together with the same mindset of stopping this prob., it might work. But the body is so divided that it would take forever to be unified.

If as Christians, we would lead the sacrificial life, meaning in this case putting God first, and others second, we would see dramatic change not only in our own lives, but in the church as well. We MUST be willing to wear the mantle of Christ's humility upon our shoulders. Can we truly allow Christ to be the Lord of our (entire) lives, and set aside our agendas for His? With God's help, I say"Yes"! What say you, friends?

Consider then , brethren what is written in these verses , the context of the Great Commission , for we who have been given to understand the mystery of the gospel , who are meant to be the salt and light of the world ... Christ within us ..
...ezekiel 3.18-24 witness / confrontation of the lost
...Matthew 25.32-42 corporal works of mercy / alms
...Matthew 10.38-42 supporting missions & ministers
...James chapter 2 ... what are we doing , as part of the body of Christ ?

If we don't step up to the plate & swing ... God's message will not go forth ...
