Dark Forces

On many occasions I have "seen" the dark spiritual side in my sleep and even when I am not asleep as in some sort of visions. I see spirits/spirit forms and sense some demonic presence in various situations, be it at home or away. I have even noticed some loved ones, seemingly normal having demonic spirits, and I do not know what to do (other than pray for them of course). On occasions I have fought in spirit and sometimes see myself chasing them all the way out of the house. Sometimes I speak utterances over them, sometimes groanings. On other occasions though, I see and sense the presence very strongly but my spirit does not appear to move to fight off the evil presence. I watch helplessly, unable to move.

I am puzzled because I pray quite strongly in the spirit and have the annointing of the spirit. If anyone has had these experiences and how to counter them, I would welcome the help and support.

I think that the Lord is probably allowing you to see into the spiritual realm -- it's a spiritual gift that will enable your prayers and warfare to be aimed correctly. You definitely shouldn't be afraid, because Jesus always causes us to triumph! We need more people in the Body of Christ who can see, like you, Tandiwe!

I have prayed about you and the post but I have no impression from the Lord. I will speak only what I felt.

1) You don't seem to have fear. And you don't seem to be boasting of it, either. If this is true, it must be from the Lord.
2) I could tell the evil spirit only when I was involved in helping a demon oppressed believer. Though some of my brothers are deceived into false doctrines, the Lord has not let me sense any evil spirits. Based on this limited experience, I suppose you are called to deliverance of demon oppressed or possessed people.

The fact that the Lord didn't impress any on me indicates that I am to learn from you in this area.

Let me add this. The principle I learned about deliverance is that there needs to be much praising and worshipping. I should not talk any more; rather I should listen.

There is nothing wrong with the kind of spiritual experiences you have described.

This is natural for a Christian. I think God is opening your "spiritual eyes" so that you may see the "spiritual world" and He is also using you to do a work for Him in the "spiritual realm". And sometimes you are able to do something (maybe when you were spiritually strong and courageous) whereas some other times you remain passive (maybe coz you were afraid seeing those demonic beings).

Be assured and glad that God is using you in the "spiritual realm" like some other Christians. Some Christians who may not have had such experiences may not understand you. Just like God uses His Angels to drive away or fight with some Evil/Demonic/Dark beings, in the same way God uses His true children on earth for the same job.

Personally, i know a Man of God who had a lot of such experiences and used to describe that to me.

I don't know if you can believe this, but, there is a Man of God (around 500 years old) in Himalayan mountains (northern part of India) whose spirit is taken out and he fights or drives away Evil Spirits and other Satanic Forces in the spiritual realm. God is using him specifically for this purpose since 500 years miraculously. Another Man of God called Sadhu Sundar Singh, heard about him and wanted to meet him. He went in search of him and was mysteriously led by God to him. He wrote about him in a booklet and i read that booklet. That is how i came to know about him.

This is a Gift of God just like the Gift of Casting Away Demons.

God certainly uses His Children in His own mysterious ways. Be strong and courageous, God may use you more and more in this area in future. It just could be a preparatory experiences for a greater work ahead.

I have encountered evil spirits before, and it is not very pretty. I have heard them speak curses over my home, among other things. Best thing to do is "clear" your home so that these spirits have no hold. You don't need a priest/pastor/spiritual leader for this. Just command them to leave in Jesus' name and in His blood to clear any curses laid down in your home. And that should do it I will be praying for you. Take care and God bless

I had experience evil spirits, whether in my dreams or when I am awake. I wrote in this other post how I felt a burning sensation moving in back of my neck after I read the whole book of psalm out loud. when I visited my friend in this University and I was sleeping, I woke up to see this green floating head coming towards me and I experience strange things during that night. I also saw a spirit come as my father (my father is not dead and I don't believe in ghost) and he was standing there looking at me when I was in my bed. I still ask God to explain these things to me. In my sleep I would find myself command evil spirits to leave in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and I see myself command idols or status to leave from churches in the name of Jesus Christ. I know sometimes its the enemy, but I know sometimes God allow me to experience these things. I don't know if I have the gift of discerning spirits, but I had my share in the spiritual realm. I'm still asking God to give me discernment, understanding and protection from these spirits. I literally was attacked with smallpox in my sleep and received victory from God when I was praying to him. God showed me spiders on this wall covered with smallpox which meant that God took the smallpox off me and send it on the spiders or evil spirits. I saw what i believe to be Chinese writing on my back and this boy back in a form of tattoo during my smallpox dream. I also seen writing in blood on the wall when I was dreaming. I would not know the meanings of these writings but I experience this. At times I would have people with me in my dreams which I believe to be angels God sent to protect me in my sleep. I know that some of these dreams happened after I came from prayer in my church. All I know is that most of the time I am not afraid because God is my protector and with the authority giving through the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, God gives me victory. I would also love to hear other people's experiences.
