Have you watched the Netflix series about the Marvel superhero? I heard it has a lot of Catholic thematics since the protagonist is one.

I saw the first two seasons of it

It has some good themes, with the hero being guided by his faith while at the same time not being the most pious of Christians

It is one of the more dark, gritty, violent-bloody, series for a superhero character that I've watched. I think what I enjoyed the most, was the series take on the Kingpin. The aged movie from years ago with Ben Affleck did not nearly do the character justice, I was disappointed, while the Netflix series, of course with more time for character development really exceeded my expectations. So far as Catholic thematics, I honestly did not take much notice, it is entertainment after all. I think the Netflix series "Cage" and "Iron Fist" are also descent, despite my lack of interest in them as comic book characters.

The characters Punisher, Wilson Fisk, and even Daredevils former mentor Stick all have an ideology of “the ends justify the means” and will do what they must to achieve their goals
Daredevil rejects killing and believes that even the most broken characters can find redemption, while other heroes have similar sets of beliefs (though it is worth noting that in the movies it only seems to be the adolescent Spider-Man who holds the same “no killing” policy) I think in the Netflix show the choice for Daredevil not to kill is linked to his faith

I am a 'Flash' and 'Super-girl' Netflix watcher. I watched one 'Daredevil' and thought it was a bit dark. I do not remember any Catholic themes.

I will watch another to see what I think.
