Hi icedragon101,

You have offered a very interesting list of choices. Unfortuneately only the principals involved and God know for certain what the answer should be or is.

At my age there are a few things that I have learned:

Never try to board a bus while its moving down the roadway.

It will do no good to complain about the destination that the bus is headed for unless you are driving the bus.

Never attempt to get off of the bus until it has come to a complete stop in a safe place and the door is open.

With that being said, it would seem to me that this bus is going well over the speed limit. Since I can't even get on the bus I know that I can't drive the bus and I don't have to worry about getting off the bus because I never had the opportunity to get on the bus.

It will be most interesting to observe the outcome of the poll.

why don't we just shut down 3ABN then no more worries huh?? or just get rid of the hierarchy and start over.. I mean all we have so far is some person showing up saying he was one of the people involved (not calling him a liar but I could say that I am Suleiman, it is the internet and all you need is an axe to grind) I mean come on TBN is soo much more God centered then any other right??

I am sorry you feel that way woobadooba. i have questions and opinion like every one else. I am sorry that you cannot tollerate differing view. I think you rob yourself and others of a valuable oppertunity to learn and grow when you shut you mind off like that. I wish it could be another way but that is up to you.

Shutting down 3ABN won't solve anything. Why shut down an entire network just because 2 people can't play nice? I don't care what position they are in. if they can't solve their problems like professionals and Christians, then I say fire them. They need to learn to keep their problems behind closed doors. I don't care who is right and who is wrong, becaue the fact is they are both wrong for making this public!

I don't really know too much about this situation and haven't followed it much at all, because, frankly, I really don't care. The whole thing just makes me ill and feels like some sordid soap opera that we can all gawk at just as one would rubberneck a bloody car accident scene.

The whole thing is a disgrace, a blight on the face of Adventism and what kind of witness is this to the outside community? For shame!

That being said, I voted that they both probably think they are telling the truth, because, more than likely, they do. I cannot take an informed dogmatic position either way, as only they themselves know if they are lying or not.

Now, if you want to know what my own personal hunch is, what my gut tells me....

From what I have learned about this mess, I suspect Danny is lying.

BUT I SINCERELY HOPE I AM WRONG ABOUT THAT.

I realize there are two sides to every situation, but really, for Danny to re-marry so soon after to a much younger woman was really......well, tacky. What the heck was he thinking? Does he not know that really does not help his case much and shows total disrespect to Linda and the marriage they had?

I guess not...

And spiritual adultery?! What in the world is that and is it now grounds for acceptance in the SDA church for divorce?

Oh the floodgates Danny has opened with this.

As for Batchelor taking over the 3ABN, what can I say. Perhaps if he was actually preaching the pure Reformation Gospel instead of outdated, re-hashed, Luther-hating, Joe Crews perfectionist dogma, I might find reason to celebrate.
