When you eat and are satisfied, be careful that you do not forget the LORD.......(Deuternomy 6; 11,12,)
When life is easy we can sometimes forget God and fall away from him. Here are some examples of that very fact from the bible.
(1st Adam.....Genesis 3)....Adam lived in a perfect world and had a perfect relationship with God. His needs were met, he had everything, But he fell pray to satan's deception.
(2nd The nation of Israel Judges 2)...God had given Isarel the promised land, and all that they needed. But as soon as Joshua died they fell into the idolatrous practices of the Canannites.
(3rd Solomon 1 Kings 11)...Solomon had it all; power, wealth, fame and wisdom. But his very abundance was the source of his downfall. He loved his pagen, idolatrous wifes so much that he allowed himself and Israel to copy their detestable rites.
We need to be on our guard against satan, because prosperity more than poverty can dull our spiritual vison. Our prosperity could tend to make us SELF-suffcient and egar to require more. Take time to read the above chapters and see how satan can decive.
