hey fellas, its been a while, used to be psalms 22.3 or whatever it was. but had to get a new name.
but im back now, and glad.
as you can tell, i love to preach and am called to.
everytime i read the bible i end up finding a new message and wish i had to church to preach it to. hehe, man i love the word of God and preaching!
well, lately ive had this burning in my spirit.
over in mark we read about the daughter of herodias dancing before herod the king. it says that herod had feared john the baptist and greatly esteemed what john said, it seems he was friends with john even.
but this young lady, began to dance his way into his life and she seemed to hypnotise him, like a snake charmer and got anything she wanted from him while he was in the high of the moment.
and she killed herods relationship with john the baptist.
and we today must beware of dancing things, things that fascinate us, hypnotise us, charm us, but ask more than we can rightly give them. but they are so appealing, and so attractive that we fall under the charm of the dancers and give them whatever they desire.
sex, drugs, money, fame, and many other things, seem to dance their way into our lives and fascinate us, and charm us like snakes, hypnotising us and getting whatever they want from us.
sex, it asks for our sacredness and sanctity. killing our relationship with God. and so on with all sinful pleasures, all dancing before us and fascinating us but asking more than we can give and still keep a healthy relationship with god.
people today, remind me of king herod.
they are fascinated with the seemingly beautiful and attractive.
people will do anything for sex and more sex, money and more money, sin pleasure after sinful pleasure.
charmed by the swaying hips, lips and fingertips of the dancers, spirits that tempt us.
it reminds me the parable of the sower.
some seed fell on thorny ground, thorns representing the cares and lusts of this world. and the thorns killed the newly grown plants.
christians get saved, and grow up a little, but these dancing spirits come into their lives and begin to draw at them, tempt them with lusts, perversions, money, fame, sinful pleasure, and the christians are fascinated at the sight of the seemingly beautiful things.
but they come at a high price, they will always ask for your relationship with god.
and they will kill it, just like the thorns killed the plants.
but christians of all ages and stages of maturity, must watch for dancing spirits, becuase if we are not watching prayerfully and carefully, we will become charmed by a spirit and give up our relationship with god, in the passoin or high of the moment.
and then look back regretting, just as herod did.
