CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I just thought i would say how awsome it is to see the church really embracing worship through creative arts other than music. This includes drama, and dance. I am a dancer, and its really great that my dance is now accepted as worshiping God, as you can worship Him through everything now cant you!!

hey that's so true. i'm lovechild05 (new to the forums).
i also appreciate praising my God thru dancin' and all. i dance hip-hop myself (u know, like in You Got Served, Honey, etc...). it feels real good.
we got some guys called Dance4Christ organising some fund raising dance project were there's gonna be about 15 groups dancing and me and my crew are also part of it. i feel really good about. adrenaline pumpin and all... exhilirating y'all.
anyway, will keep in touch.

Yeah, I just started liturgical dancin aka praise dance. It is so fun and awesome that you are praise God while performing with your whole heart and mind. I LOVE IT!!!

I had a great ballet class yesterday. I have gotten good enough in the intermediate level to make more of the movements, do them well, and not be lost all the time because of the speed and coordination difficulties. I thank God that he created us in a way that we can do such complex dance types like ballet.

Do those of the Methodist Faith believe in going out to dances or in general dancing?Hey is their anyone out there that knows any songs that are based off of Psalm 150? I am wanting to do a dance that reflects that scripture.

What about doing a dance on a reading of the passage? Have someone read the passage while you dance.
(BTW, the band P.O.D, in their album "The fundumental elements of south town" have a lovely reading of that psalm in Hebrew (in between 2 songs). Hebrew is one of my mother tongues, so I can assure you that it is properly read, the eloqution is perfect, and there is something rythmic in the reading of the original. perhaps you can buy the piece legaly from something like Itunes?)
