dance routine

I need help I am a cheer coach, the coach who use to do our dance routine cannot help this year and none of us have any real experience with dance, we have to come up with a music mix and routine in the near future and I decided to try and get a jump start. Can anyone help us out. We are working with 9-11 year old girls this is only our 3rd season. We can do some stunts but are limited.

Hm, well, I could probably come up with a whole routine, but it's quite difficult for me to explain it over text.. Sooo... =P

I think cool formations look great in dances (as long as you have enough people) Like, don't stay in a few lines the entire time, move around a bit.

Also, try looking on YouTube for some dancing videos, you can find all sorts of videos on there which can be a lot of help.

Just use your imagination!

Another thing you could do is ask the girls, I know when I was that age I was already making up some funky fresh moves. Haha. So yeah..

i saw an article on it but try out some songs on the top 100 billboard thing a couple years back. ppl tend to get bored with the current popular song being played for the millionth time.

Yeah, that's a good suggestion. Just search through a pop/rock section of a library, or book store. You're bound to find something!

or just ask the girls for some music

that's what I did once...and they found one for me which we made a choreography to together...they really danced with all their heart at the performance cause it was "their dance"

We have to have the routine ready before practice starts. We only have three weeks of practice before it is performed

mmhh...that's a pretty short time...guess it will be best then if you make the choreography

I hope the links the others posted are helpfull...I've never tried searching for dances online myself but I think it's a really good idea
