Daniel 4:18-19 King James Version (KJV)
18 This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.
19 Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.
Daniel 4:18-19 New English Translation (NET Bible)
18 This is the dream that I, King Nebuchadnezzar, saw. Now you, Belteshazzar, declare its interpretation, for none of the wise men in my kingdom are able to make known to me the interpretation. But you can do so, for a spirit of the holy gods is in you.
Daniel Interprets Nebuchadnezzars Dream
19 Then Daniel (whose name is also Belteshazzar) was upset for a brief time; his thoughts were alarming him. The king said, Belteshazzar, dont let the dream and its interpretation alarm you. But Belteshazzar replied, Sir, if only the dream were for your enemies and its interpretation applied to your adversaries!

18 The king was talking to Daniel. They could not tell him what the dream meant because it was given from God for Daniel to interpret. The kings shows that he is not of the Faith, Daniel did not serve a god who was powerful, Daniel served the Lord God, the true one not one that was made by man but the one that made man.
19 Daniel knew what the dream meant but did not want to share the dream because of its meaning. The king knew that by the way Daniel was acting that he knew the dream and it was bad news. Sometimes we have to be the bearer of bad news. Daniel knew the dream was not about his enemies and was not good.
