Daniel 4:10-12 King James Version (KJV)
10 Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed; I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and the height thereof was great.
11 The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth:
12 The leaves thereof were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meat for all: the beasts of the field had shadow under it, and the fowls of the heaven dwelt in the boughs thereof, and all flesh was fed of it.
Daniel 4:10-12 New English Translation (NET Bible)
10 Here are the visions of my mind while I was on my bed.
While I was watching,
there was a tree in the middle of the land.
It was enormously tall.
11 The tree grew large and strong.
Its top reached far into the sky;
it could be seen from the borders of all the land.
12 Its foliage was attractive and its fruit plentiful;
on it there was food enough for all.
Under it the wild animals used to seek shade,
and in its branches the birds of the sky used to nest.
All creatures used to feed themselves from it.

10 At this time dreams were seen as given by theirs gods, the way of them speaking to them. God spoke thru dreams to those He called to speak; they would understand the dream and spread the news. Trees symbolize growth and life often times. The kings kingdom had grown very large to where the entire world could know about them.
11 The kings kingdom was the largest of its day but each one after would get bigger, Persia and Greek and then Rome all larger than the first and more powerful.
12 These empires had enough to fix the worlds problems but they just choose to stay rich and often their waste of money was why they would be defeated.
