Daniel 3:19-23King James Version (KJV)
19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.
20 And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
21 Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
22 Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace
exceeding hot, the flames of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
Daniel 3:19-23New English Translation (NET Bible)
19 Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with rage, and his disposition changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He gave orders to heat the furnace
seven times hotter than it was normally heated. 20 He ordered strong soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and to throw them into the furnace of blazing fire. 21 So those men were tied up while still wearing their cloaks, trousers, turbans, and other clothes, and were thrown into the furnace of blazing fire. 22 But since the kings command was so urgent, and the furnace was so excessively hot, the men who escorted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were killed by the leaping flames. 23 But those three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell into the furnace of blazing fire while still securely
bound.

19 He was anger because they stood up for something more than they did him, they followed God before the king. People will hate us because we put God first today even if we are not forced to put our life a stake. The king wanted to make an example out of them. The king viewed it as they should do anything he asks but they viewed it as the Lord comes first and He wants them to serve no other gods including one set up by the king. This furnace may have been the same furnace that was used to make the statue which it being made of gold would have been hot any way. The fire would have burned anything going in it almost instantly.
20 They were to be tied up, seems unneeded seeing that they were being thrown in a fire. He had his military throw them in this showed that it was an act against the kingdom, they were convicted of treason for disobeying the king.
21 They did not allow them to change it was instantly this was done they had no time to pray about it. Sometimes we may be forced to act and we need to use what He has given us and trust in Him.
22 The flames killed those who threw the three men in, this shows how hot the fire truly was. The men may have been burned up and dead before anyone could have put the fire on them out, they were not punished so they would have tried to put out the fire on them seen the three men were already in the furnace now.
23 They had no where to go and were in a place only God could bring them out. There may be times we do not see a way out but we still need to rely on Him.
