  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Daniel 2:46-47

King James Version (KJV)

46 Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him.
47 The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.

Daniel 2:46-47

New Living Translation (NLT)

Nebuchadnezzar Rewards Daniel

46 Then King Nebuchadnezzar threw himself down before Daniel and worshiped him, and he commanded his people to offer sacrifices and burn sweet incense before him. 47 The king said to Daniel, “Truly, your God is the greatest of gods, the Lord over kings, a revealer of mysteries, for you have been able to reveal this secret.”

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

46 We as believers are not to be worshiped by others but tell them the praises go to the Lord. In Revelation John starts to worship the angel and the angel tells him that he too is only a servant and should not be worshiped. The king saw the dream being answered and viewed Daniel as more than he was. He may have viewed him as a god or even an instrument of a god which is why he started to worship him. We as Christians can develop a pride issues, where we want to be noticed for what we do and also get credit for what we do and how hard we do it but the bible says if we get credit before men we have received our reward it is better to allow the praise be given to the One it belongs God and be rewarded by Him and not by man. They accept Daniel their god shows how much this dream meant to the king. Daniel was just a man, a servant and prophet of the Lord. There own views blocked them from giving praise to the One who gave Daniel the answer to the dream.

47 The finally give credit where credit is due and accept God gave Daniel the answer and therefore they accept God is powerful. They knew God had power but having known this they may not accepted him as their own God, they may have not wanted to change and often times this is why men and women do not come to faith, they like the way they are living and do not want to change even though the change is the best one can make because He is the one doing the changing thru us.
