  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Daniel 2:41-43

King James Version (KJV)

41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.
42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

Daniel 2:41-43

New Living Translation (NLT)

41 The feet and toes you saw were a combination of iron and baked clay, showing that this kingdom will be divided. Like iron mixed with clay, it will have some of the strength of iron. 42 But while some parts of it will be as strong as iron, other parts will be as weak as clay. 43 This mixture of iron and clay also shows that these kingdoms will try to strengthen themselves by forming alliances with each other through intermarriage. But they will not hold together, just as iron and clay do not mix.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

41 Iron is symbolic of Rome. Iron is strong as was Rome at its high point. Clay can be tough bit can also be smashed, clay would weaken the iron. Rome was divided and soon after it fell, it became the western and eastern parts of the Roman Empire. Even when Rome became divided it was still strong until it fell from within.

42 When Rome became divided the western part was stronger than the eastern part. Rome was very weak morally; they were very corrupt and sinful.

43 Things from Rome remain today. Two churches were founded during Roman times that are still around today, the Roman Catholic which after the divide became the church of the west and the Eastern Orthodox which after Rome divided became the church of the east. Empires after Rome wanted to be an empire like Rome, such as the Byzantines who referred to their rulers as Czars which came from the term Caesar. This empire also had its own church which is also still around today it is the Russian Orthodox Church. Every Empire since Rome has followed after Rome, including the U.K. and the U.S. Everyone of these could be considering the toes of clay as well as such empires as Napoleon’s and Hitler’s.
