Daniel 2:36-38
King James Version (KJV)
36 This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king.
37 Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.
38 And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.
Daniel 2:36-38
New Living Translation (NLT)
36 That was the dream. Now we will tell the king what it means. 37 Your Majesty, you are the greatest of kings. The God of heaven has given you sovereignty, power, strength, and honor. 38 He has made you the ruler over all the inhabited world and has put even the wild animals and birds under your control. You are the head of gold.

36 Daniel sarts to do the impossilble thru God, the impossible is possible. Daniel knew it was by the Lord that he could tell this dream that is why he said we can tell you, Daniel was refering to him and the Lord telling the king.
37 The Babylon kingdom was great and because of it being so long ago we do not know exactly how great they were. Through God we are able to find meaning. God allows ruler and kings come to power. He also allows them to fall as well.
38 Babylon may have been the strongest of all empires. Babylon was the first big empire to take land across their areas. Their may have been small empires before this but this was the first empire to conquer the Judah. Israel was deafted by the Asyrians but they were most likely deafted by the Babylonians later before they fell to the Persians. A head is the postion of power and respect.
