  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Less distractions going to the week-day Mass, as most are elderly people and few kids.

I used to try and go when I was able, but that's not God's will for me lately.

I love it when I make it. But the only time available to me is 6:30 am and I am sleepy the rest of the day.

How important is daily Mass to you?
When I am able, yes, and I prefer it when it's in the later afternoon. Thankfully, I have that option.

I have been making it so far this week to 6:30 Mass. It occurs to me that it is not because I am super-Catholic, or pious and good but rather, because it helps me to cope with my daily existence.

I love it when I’m able to make it! Makes my soul feel good!

Man I really miss daily Mass. Pre-Covid I went almost every day and it definitely set a different tone and structure to my day when I did. I also kind of liked it cause at the time my shift was 3:30am-12:30pm with a break from 7am-8am. That was perfect cause daily Mass at my parish was at 7:30, so I'd go on break more around 7:15 to give myself enough time after Mass to drive back to the tv station. It felt like a midday shower or something cause my workplace was pretty toxic in a lot of ways, being a news station.

I wish I could still go in the mornings but now my workday starts at 7 so it's harder to go. I might try to sneak away anyway since things don't really get going until 8:30 or so at the earliest. Things haven't been going well for me spiritually for a while so maybe this would help get me back on track.
