"And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?" - Mark 9:28

Jesus trained His disciples for their future roles. He taught by example and by precept. His teaching was done “on the road.” Jesus did not ask the disciples to sit down and take notes. Jesus’ classroom was on the highways and byways of life. Jesus placed His disciples into roles that required... #D4Ldevotion #D4L #Christian

Refreshing Daily in God's Word: Daily Devotion: A Great Task

Yes, God DOES "prepare" us, and He Himself "equips" us to do as He directs us to with ANY and ALL tasks that He puts before us. Even in with those devastating fallings and failings before we were a "new creature in Christ" (and even after...yes, we can still stumble....even now) He can transform even those stumblings into being used for His purposes, even painful reminders that "humble" us and keep us acutely "mindful" of how desperately we NEED Him, and that it is not "us" making this new life even possible, but HIM, and His inexplicable grace. We also learn empathy, compassion, and forgiveness for others who are, or have stumbled, been lost, and blind.

He uses it ALL for His glory.

How thankful we can be that He DOES.

Amen?

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." ~Rom 8:28

Thank you for this profound study and meditation and reminder on this cold-ish but sunny Monday in December, brother.

God bless you.

Thank you, and amen about Rom 8:28...isn't it comforting to know that God can take ALL things and transform them to use them for GOOD?

A very blessed Monday to you too, my friend.

(Ever notice that no one ever says "TGIM"?) :D
