Hey guys. I am noticing that people are starting to put in some of the poetry that they have written over the years of their abuse. I have written two poems in recent years that involve my abuse and I would like to share those with all of you now.
First is 'Daddy.' This has to do with the verbal abuse my dad told me growing up; -January 15, 2003
I will not falter, I will not fail, I will not fall,
I will stand up tall.
For those who say I can't, give this a call,
I will not falther, I will not fail, I will not fall.
You have to believe me,
Because one day you may see,
That what I have accomplished will be key.
I will not falter, I will not fail, I will not fall,
So give THAT a call.
In the future I will succeed,
And I will remember another for a good deed,
But when you are in time of need,
I will fail to give you my feed
Because in a time before you told my seed
That I would see
I will falter, I will fail, and I will fall.
You may have tried to predict the future,
But what you called,
Is not what I saw at all.
Because I do and always will stand up tall.
And this next one is Untitled. I recently wrote it about an ordeal I had with a roommate of mine and never gave it a title. If you have any suggestions for a title, let it be known, and I will consider it
Untitled - March 14, 2005
I don't have any built up hate.
I am shocked, hurt and in pain...
But no one would understand that.
No one understands me and my past.
People think they know, but they don't have the slightest idea.
It's not hate that I have built up, it is sadness and pain.
But you wouldn't understand.
I have nothing to say right now,
Let me come around when I am ready, but for now, let me be.
Let me mend the wounds and soon I will come around,
But for now I am dealing with this in my own way.
My way might not be your way, but it definitely doesn' mean the highway,
Let me be who I am,
Let me be what I have become and let me deal with this how I see fit.
I am an adult afterall.
My way of dealing with things is different,
But it doesn't mean it is wrong, it means just that; it is not the same.
I am not good at stanzas and all that, but oh well. I hope you all enjoyed it, and hope that you will give me some feedback
