• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private.   • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

i have cut myself, i am going to get help this summer i am moving to go to college next fall well my bf's mom is helping me, and she said that if i really want help then i would have to go to the hopital, and well i am scard but i am welling to do anything to get better, dose anyone have any advice for someone who wants to stop cutting, it seems like satan gets a hold of me and it bugs me, he wants me to be unhappy, and i am trying to be postive and seek God. please pray for me .

well my boyfriend broke up with me last night but i am okay i need to foucs on getting better, he said until i can love myself then i cn't love anyone else, but were still best friends and stuff.. his mom is still helping me and everything i believe God can help me, i gave it to GOd, i have to clean out my room sometime take all the junk out, but yeah.. please keep me in prayers that i can over come and that God well restore me and my relationships with people, and to find God's will for my life, thanks so much, satan tricked me in to thinking that cutting woruld solve my problems unstead they left me with more troulbe then befor, but with the love of God and his hand i well over come and i well be a new person , and my relationships well be restored to new, andi well be Fine .. in God's hands i run to... no matter how hard the road gets i always have my daddy God to go to priase him!!

OH wow! I that was forever ago..lol, i'm at college its almost been a year, 2 weeks left..lol.. and well i am over cutting.. I am so glad to hear that you are healed. Reading about how you wanted to get help when you went to college was crazy for me. That is what I said to my best friend when she first found out that I was cutting myself. God has really used my first year at college to change me. Coming home was shocking...everyone keeps commenting on how different I am (in a good way though). I'm still struggling with cutting, but you really inspired me. Thank you for sharing. And praise God that you are better!
