  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So he finally has a tooth. At least the top of one, and he's only seven months, but obsessed with chewing on mommy's and everyone else's fingers. Any good ideas on stuff to give him, outside the gel freezies which he cries about and detests, to help him be happier and not in so much pain? He's being a real little trooper about the tooth, and I think his second baby bottom tooth is coming too...

Also, I taught him how to growl, so he has one tooth and is growling.

I'll second the frozen face cloths....they are great. Also you can give little ones pretzel rods to gum on when they are teething. They make a big mess but I used to put baby in the high chair and give him a Pretzel Rod while I was doing dishes or fixing dinner or something. Then he was in the room so I could keep my eye on him, and he was happy.

Also They Have These Desolvable Teething Tablets You Can Get At A Health Food Store For 4 Bucks Or So And They Are Completly Natural And Work So Well, Unlike Teething Gel That Harden The Gums And Takes Longer For Baby To Cut Teeth, The Tablets Numb The Gums And Keep Them Soft So Cutting Teeth Is A Lot Faster, I Did The Tablets And Almost Instantly She Quit Fussing And Chewed Less.

Wet [ & wring out] a clean baby wash cloth, put in freezer [in container with lid or zip top bag] freeze until it's icy but not really hard. Let baby chew on it. :D

I second Hyland's Teething Tablets

I also gave him Wash clothes dry and we called them Chewies, he loved them and I'd just replace with a new wash cloth when they got too spitty.

IN the vitamin section they have these teething tablets that you can desolve in water and give to them, my neice swears by them... i use them occassionally but don't know if they help or not. I guess I think they do. I just use tylenol and oragel..... my baby seems to like to chew on damp wash cloths so i've tried refrigerating a damp wash cloth to give to her.
