What are some cute things your kids say? I love it when my 4 year old boy says things like 'de Debil" and "tovoganning" and "In Geeze's Name."

My daughter used to call me 'monny' insteady of 'mommy.' I loved it

i have 3 yr old twins so we get a varity of the oddest things. but my daughter would say "nobby" instead of naughty... and "nabana" instead of banana .. and if you tried to correct her she would say... THATS WHAT I SAID .. most things they say have me on the floor laughing ...lol

My son is mentally impaired. So I'm explaining God in the simplest of terms to him. That means I tell him God is love....and anything good comes from God. If it's not good, it's not from God. Very simple...but this is where he is at.

So...the funny things that come from this.....I made banana chocolate chip muffins..he said yum..these are good...did God make them? We went to see Christmas lights and he said...oh, these are pretty....did God put them up? Our old dog has bad gas and it can get smelly...so we are watching a movie and she's on the couch with us and passes gas....oh, that's nasty...God didn't do it.

We were watching old videos of my first born(she's now nearly 13) and she had her own word '' Foo-Laa". She used it all the time in the videos. We were cracking up...we totally forgot about it. There was a scene from her first day of preschool and I asked her how it went and she thought about it and said "foo laa". So now, when she gets home from middle school and I ask how her day was...she will randomly reply Foo Laa.

My middle one is a pet lover and when she talks to the dogs her voice is in such a high pitch she could break glass. It sounds so cute though...you can hear the love in her voice.

thought i would share the latest from my 3 yr old. as i was getting them dressed to play in the snow he asked if my other son was going to play outside too. i told him no hes grounded.. the 3 yr old looks at me and says " you smushed him into the ground"

My daughter does that, too. If it's an animal, she feels that the only way to speak to it is in a very high-pitched voice.

my 4 yr old is quite a thinker, the other day we were in the car and she asked, "mom do you know what it is like to talk to yourself in your head?" my reply "no sweetie what is it like?" her answer, with great emphasis, "It is like going somewhere you have never been before!"

My boys do the high voices (not maybe quite so high) for playing animals too.

My 4 year old was sitting beside me the other day and said "Excuse me wah." I said "Pardon?" and he said, "Excuse me wah!" And I said, "Do you need something?" and he nodded and said he needed a glass of water. I noticed he was saying it a lot and I asked his brother (who is six) what he was quoting from, because the little guy would just say, "I'm saying 'excuse me wah!'" Our six year old said, "he's saying, "Excusez-moi"".

That reminds me...I love it when my son apologizes to the pets and to "stuff".He'll bump the table and say scuze me table....he'll step over a dog and say scuze me Frida. It's cute stuff.

My son just started saying "please". So if he wants something he'll bat his long eyelashes and say, "Mommy, pwease" or "Daddy, pwease". I love it! I also think it's funny when we're eating at my inlaws (MIL can't cook) and Remy will look at what she's prepared and say, "Eww! Uck! Mommy, pwease!" and gesture that he wants away from the table. lol I wonder how I amused myself before he was born.

I'm having fun while my eldest is learning two languages in and out of the home (German and English) - and he's generally quiet or otherwise non-verbal when he gets frustrated or tired. He's 18 months, and we're finding his vocabulary and use of English and German to be quite advanced for his age and disadvantage (learning two languages at once usually slows your speech).

Yesterday it was snowing and he looks outside and says "ooh! Schön!!" (Ohh, lovely!). He tried moving his little rocking chair and puts both hands under the arm-rests and hunches over, says "On three!" and lifts it up to move further into the room. (first time I ever heard him say those things)

Over at one of our relatives' around Xmas time, he saw her tree, walks over and says "That is SO cute!" (LOL!)

I'd closed the door upstairs loudly and he asked my mom who was downstairs with him "What was that?"

And when he was good, I let him pick out something from our behavior box - he says "I get this?" "Yep, you get this because you were a good big boy"

Instead of Hello or "Hallo", he says "Hiyo!" and instead of This or "das" he says "die" (the feminine form of "that/the" in German) and points to it if he wants it or asks what it is.

I just wait for the day he actually talks more instead of squealing because he isn't getting his point across. :/

That's cute--my wife is 3rd gen German but the kids don't really pick it up, they're busy trying to learn french at school. Yeah, the squealing can get a little old sometimes, as can the little frustration dance.

My little guy got one over on me--imitating me snoring made my wife actually explode with laughter. He did it perfectly.

I overheard about an hour ago after we'd talked with my husband, my son had walked over to the chair my mom put my change from grocery shopping on. He (my son) touches the money, and says "We need more monies.."

He was going to pick it up and take it away, but my mom gently told him that taking money not your own is stealing...

That's hilarious. Call me a sucker maybe but i find it really cool when little kids really want to be involved but have no idea what they're doing.

He told me when I took him to bed "I don't want to make that noise"... Of course, I was very confused and asked "What noise??" and he replies "when I bad". With some quick thinking on my part, I knew he meant he didn't want to cry, so I said "Well, don't be bad and we won't make that noise, ok?" and with that he crawled into bed, laid down and tells me "Ciao-y!"

He started calling me "DeeDee" yesterday. The only thing we can figure out is because he did watch one episode of Dexter's lab, and I get the remote to change the channels (to/from Disney or other safe kids shows) and it annoys him when I turn it off.

How in the world can you correct that, when it's so hilarious you're about to fall out laughing? LOL

There's been an ad playing for an Alvin and the Chipmunks movie in which there's a rendition of Beyonce's 'Single Ladies.' DD (8) started humming it, then she stopped and asked, "Is it 'Single Ladies' or 'Sing, Old Ladies?'" I told her the correct words and she said, "Oh. I thought it was 'Sing, Old Ladies,'" shrugged, and went back to humming it. I'll never hear that song the same way.

I have children of my own now but when we were smaller my cousin thought the famed hymn line "Would you be free from your burden of sin." Was "Would you be free from your butt to your chin." lol

I took my 18 month old out for a cookie treat. When I gave her a piece of the cookie she looked at it and said, "Cookie Meantata....amammammmmamamama" (Cookie Monster plus the crazed eating noise). She then proceeded to take a bite and crumble half of the bite out of her mouth just like Cookie Monster.

My heart just melted the other day when she came up to me with a copy of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, sat on my lap and said, "Meading? Hongy Piter?" So we read that four times and at the end she called him a "fafafie" (butterfly).

Lol, some of those are really funny. "Free from your butt to your chin indeed!"

It is cool how kids learn language, and how anything goes with it. My 4 year old was making up a password for his fort, and it goes "I am small and I am stout, release me from this limey lout." He doesn't know what it means, he just thinks it rhymes nicely.

the other day I over heard a conversation between my 4 and 2 year old daughters.

C "when I grow up I am going to be as big as mommy!"
M "I am going to be baby Alice"
C "you have to grow down for that!"
