I think 'spiritualising' psalms like these for use today is a good idea; after all, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, and we may as well make use of such scriptures.

I think 'spiritualizing' the Psalms is a grave error. If you do it you will have to spiritualize much of the New Testament as well.

Some of the New Testament books, Jude for example, look forward to the doom of Godless people in the same way that Psalms does, even worse.

We wrestle not against flesh and blood.....................God's spirit strives with flesh and blood continually.

The full gospel must be preached, otherwise there would be no need for repentance or salvation.
