An early 14th century BC lead curse tablet mentioning YHW was found on mount Ebal - the mountain from which Joshua had curses pronounced - in proto-Canaanite script.

Very bizarre, it says cursed by the God YAHWEH, what does this mean?

That the person is issuing a curse in the name of God?

Surprised there's only a couple posts on this.
Why they're excitied:
* earliest mention of Yahweh
* shows Hebrews were literate at time the Law was believed to have been written
* Could help date the Pharoh in Exodus & other early Hebrew events

I'm always skeptical of age-dating, but hey, glad someone's excited.
