Curse of the Pirate.....Games!

It seems like theres some sort of curse on pirate games.

There has been NO pirate games that have been good all-around games. They ALL have some point where they just fail miserably.

Age of Pirates- Carribean Tales is as close as I've seen to a great pirate game except that it was horridly buggy and the main storyline was lacking.

Tortuga Two Treasures looks promising, but it hasnt been released yet so we'll have to wait and see.

But it seems like every pirate game that gets made has some fatal Achillies heel.

Sid myers pirates was a decent game, though far from perfect, it is still worth playing.

But yes, i have been longing for a good pirate game to come out, but thanks to jack sparrow.. i was almost totaly turned off from pirates all together. But the dream is still rooted deep inside, and i hope it will get to see its wish fulfiled with a decent pirate game.

Sid Meier's Pirates was....ok

gameplay got repetative but the biggest problem was combat was sooooo boring and so EASY. On even the highest mode of difficulty you could shred any opponent in seconds.

I love Sid Meijer's Pirates. I was stoked when they made the new one. The Sega Genesis version was one of my fave games back in the day.
