Curious newbie

I guess I'm supposed to write an intro post, right? OK...

I'm Satya, and I live in North Carolina USA, in the city of Asheville. I'm originally from Rochester, New York. I'm married and have 4 cats, and am currently in nursing school, with hopes to become either a nurse anesthetist or maybe research nurse in pharmacology.
I joined this site because, although I've never been Christian, many of my family members are. I don't profess to understand that belief system at all. I just want to learn more about it, so I can better relate to my parents and other family members.
