CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was sitting in a waiting room watching a news report about this~they said the servers were overloaded at that time~apparently some former google people are involved with it.

i wasnt impressed to be honest, most the searches seem to base alot on the actual domain name itself rather then the content, also if i searched with my actual domain name of the website i own it doesnt even come up!
i tried to add my website and get their bot to deliver but it still hasnt and its been a few weeks. Lastly i send an email as they were advertising for jobs maybe a week ago and again, heard nothing back.
i think its all hype, google is way better IMHO at the moment but hey maybe in the future..

Actually as they say they hold a database of the largest proportions... as far as that goes they are ahead of the game... there only downfall is their algo... as the saying goes "history repeats itself" - they are using the same algo ideas that Google defeated when it first came on the scene. I work with search engines all day long(used to anyways) and I can tell you unless they change their algo drastically and include backlinks as Google does they will get no real publicity.
It has potential... but there is little chance they will realize it at this point unless they get new management which is doubtful...

Do not like it. While they may have a larger database, it doesn't mean they have a better database. I'll be sticking to google with stumble upon addon.
