This man named Arty one days decides to join the Mafia. So he consults his friend who was in the Mafia about joining. The friend says you either have to be family or kill someone for money to join. Arty asks the friend to pay him for killing someone, but the friend refuses. Arty continues to ask, and the friend finally caves in and says that he'll pay Arty $1 to kill someone. If the killing is in the newspaper headlines the next day, Arty can join.

So that day Arty goes down to the local grocery store called Ralph's. He sees an old lady and decides that she's had a good long life, so he chokes her to death. A cashier sees this and attacks Arty, so Arty chokes him to death as well.

The next day the front headline reads (please read it aloud so you get the joke) "Arty chokes 2 for a dollar at Ralph's".
