Hello singers,
I'm sending this note to see if anyone is interested in meeting to sing in one of the breakout rooms at the Winter Bluegrass Weekend on Saturday. These rooms are available for instrumentalists to find people to jam with. I called someone representing the festival and was told that it would be O.K. if we grabbed a room and sang. I think this may be a good setting for a casual passerby to be exposed to Sacred Harp singing, and maybe even join in. I mentioned this to a few singers who were also planning to attend and it seems like around 2:00 on Saturday would be a good time to try this. We could sing for an hour or more if it seems worthwhile. I should also let everyone know that this event would cost $10 so this is mostly for people who are already interested in this type of music. If anyone is interested, please E-Mail or call me at (612) 617-8999.

P.S. Cathy, if you could send me the flier with the local singing info, it would be great to have that along on Saturday.

24-Hour Prayer Week Begins Sunday
Students of the College of Arts & Sciences are invited to sign up for half-hour times of prayer during an intensive 24-Hour Prayer Week, beginning this Sunday at midnight and extending until midnight Sunday, March 5. The prayer will take place in the CLC prayer chapel, where aids to focused prayer will be available. Sign up at bsa or for more information contact bsa.
