I liked last nights premiere. I don't want to spoil it for everyone, but I didn't expect the Gary Sinese character to be so tortured with internal pain. Quite a change from CSI:Miami and the regular ole CSI. But I think it'll be good.

So far, however, I don't like it as much as the other two. Hopefully after we've seen more eps the characters will develop a bit more.

Was that Josh Hartnet as one of the detectives? I really don't like Josh Hartnet. :p

I saw it last night, and thought it was good. It was weird watching it with different cast members and all that ,but i thought it was good. I was kind of suprised with Sinese's character, seems to have some personal issues going on. But ya overall i though it was good. and sorry I didn't see Josh Hartnet, he's not in the opening credits and I didn't see his name as a guest appearance, so sorry but I doubt it was him..

I was a little wary of this show because C.S.I. Miami is not good. But C.S.I. New York was really, really good.

I'm so glad that they got Gary Sinese to play the lead. He's such a good actor. I love him. And I love Melina Kankakaritis. ( I know I didn't spell that right. :sorry: ) ever since "Providence" went off the air I've been wishing to see her in something else.

This is going to be such a good show. Last nights was unbelievably good. It's going in my top fav's for this season, bar none.

I like CSI:Miami, but I know a few who have said they don't like it. But CSI:Vegas is the best one IMO.

Did you hear that they Speed isn't going to continue doing CSI:Miami's anymore? I can't remember where I read that, but I've heard that the actor asked to be written out of the show and so next season they'll do something with the character leaving.

BTW, Old Soul is that your picture in your avatar? *drools*

I thought that the show was ok, but it didn't have the same feel to it as the other to CSI's. My favorite is still the original CSI.

Spoilers for CSI:Miami

Speed was killed in the show on Monday. That is how they took him out of it with the actor wanting to leave.

It wasn't Josh Hartnet, it was Eddie Cahill...he played Tag, Rachel's assistant/ boyfriend on Friends.

My favorite is the original CSI as well, but I like the Miami one as well (just not as much). CSI:NY was ok, altho I'm not sure if I'll like it if there's going to be alot of interpersonal stuff going on...then again, CSI:Miami had to grow on me, too...I didn't really get into it until near the end of their first season!!

I've got myself officially caught up in all three CSIs. The original being my favorite of course. Is it me? or does anyone else think there is just too much cleavage in the Miami version? One of my friend's is married to a Miami/Dade CSI investigator and he assures me that it's not the norm at work and apparrently, those guys (the real ones) can't stand the show!

I like how dark CSI: NY is. I like how they filmed in a way that the film is darker. Sort of like how it's symbolic of how dark the topic really is. I also was disappointed to see how sad Gary Senise's character was. But I think it's probably important to work some 9/11 reference into the show. The events were life-changing for all areas of police and fire in NY.

Oh! Interesting. I'd love to know what the real CSI thinks of the show and specifically what they hate about it.

This is the problem with transferring stuff to TV and movies. In real life I doubt the CSIs and detectives are all drop dead gorgeous models. I love the Vegas one (my fav) but Cat being a gorgeous ex-stripper who is second in command is just a little bit ridiculous. But it makes for a good show.
