Before I became a Christian? No, but I had a friend that was. I really wish he got saved by now but I really don't know. Haven't heard from him in a long time.

When I became a christian I lost my best friend who said I was mad and a few other things. I haven't seen in near two years and he only lives down the street.

I know that things like that can be really hard, especially when he lives so close. I may sound very silly but at the time I got saved I knew my life just turned upside down. I really prefer to forget thinking about the past. Cross happened in the past but our Lord and glory is present and future.

I tried to persuade him but didn't really work. My Bible knowledge way really minimal at the time so I probably didn't sound convincing enough or give him enough truth but maybe something happened. Anyway, past is past.
And my past before I got saved is dead to me.

Yep. Same here.

I grew up in a Christian home. Went to church everytime the door was open. I thought I got saved when I was about 8 years old.

I always had doubts though. Like something was amiss.

So, nearly 3 years ago God spoke to my heart and I nailed down my salvation.

Yeah my mum went to church every sunday and my dad the odd time I even got confirmed but I mosty went to keep my mum company and had no interest, even falling asleep a few times. Now I go of my own choice abeit not the same church.

Yep, church was like that for me until I started going to the church I'm at now.

Here is a little something I wrote myself on a day I was feeling down, I thought I'd share

My LORD, sometimes I fear, sometimes I fear what is to come

For what the next day will bring

Sometimes loneliness and despair fulfills my heart

Sometimes confusion blinds my eyes

My LORD, I am going to need a miracle

But I know You are always there

Always You have helped me

And raised me higher then the mountains

But sometimes I feel as low as the oceans

And hope leaves my heart

My LORD, this time I feel lost

I cry out to You in prayer

With tears falling from my eyes

Sorrow that could fill a thousand rivers

And time continues never endless

My heart and mind are troubled

My LORD, please be my miracle

Please lift this burden away from me

And pierce my heart with Your forever love

And be a light to my eyes

My LORD, I need You now more than ever

Please be my guardian

In times of my deepest need

And guide my each step that I take next

I know You are there for me my LORD

Always You give forgiveness

And when I fall, You are most merciful

But nothing do I deserve

And no way do I know how to give thanks

But yet, You are still there for me my LORD

Not even for one moment do You forsake me

I could never ask for better

Nor ever find better

For You are my LORD

And so great and blessed You are

That you show me everlasting love

In all the days that will come
