CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yeah, I sort of had a crazy day too. Well, a week.
I have a lot to study and 2 books to read (books not related with le college).
It's going to be a tough February. :o

Yeah, looking back on my first year of college... it was an eternity away. 2010...
I know that it feels close but I feel depressed about 2010. I'm still, well, amazed by what happened in late February 2011.
I've probably got 2-3 more years in college

I've got 3 undergraduate, currently on 2nd; and then two more graduate.
Then I can go on but I think I'll find a job first before getting more degrees.

My 10 year HS reunion is this summer. When I was in HS it seemed ages away. Now it's here. Crazy how time flies.

That is really the last thing I ever thought would happen to me. If the Lord saved a person that is as wicked as me we have every reason to pursue atheists into faith. This reminds me of something, I knew a guy that was an atheist. We were good friends and, well,... long story.

Before I became a Christian? No, but I had a friend that was. I really wish he got saved by now but I really don't know. Haven't heard from him in a long time.

I try not to think back. Not about that guy but rather the fact that I used to be an unbeliever. No idea why but just the thought of it makes me feel rotten and like I'm two steps from the pit again.
Anyway, forget that.

I tried to persuade him but didn't really work. My Bible knowledge way really minimal at the time so I probably didn't sound convincing enough or give him enough truth but maybe something happened. Anyway, past is past.
And my past before I got saved is dead to me.
