CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Actually, something funny about that. Proper grammar is not designed to work with colloquialisms such as the phrase "deal with". So it actually doesn't work to use them grammatically: "with which you cannot deal" just sounds silly. You'd have to replace the colloquialism with something more formal for it to make sense, but that would change the entire sentence structure.
Anyway, a friend of mine, who is a fairly strict grammar purist, watched a show wherein a stodgy old British guy is complaining about something, and he says, "There are some things up with which one shall not put!" Which is, of course, hilarious. So we decided that there are times in which rules should be broken.
(Using "at" at the end of a sentence isn't one of them, though.
)

I recently went through this myself. I feel like God has something planned and I just need to be patient and wait for it. Just knowing that makes me look forward to my future.

I wish I could feel that way. I'm pretty sure I've screwed up all the opportunities I'm going to get, at least until I'm old enough that the women I would date have outgrown their high standards.

Hey you're only 27... I don't know you but you seem really nice. Obviously educated. Plus, marrying older seems to be a growing trend. It seems to be harder to meet people these days. Idk. There's no doubt in my mind that God has a plan for all of us... but some of us have to use our patience more than others.

Oh I think women do want nice and educated men. Some of them just don't know it yet. I've noticed that some of my girl friends are still stuck on being attracted to the "bad boy" type. You said women haven't outgrown their high standards. I wouldn't call them high standards, not for all women anyways. Some women just have the wrong standards.

Yeah I wouldn't know how to explain the bad boy type either.
Maybe the kind of guy who gives a girl just enough attention to keep her, but not enough to make her happy? Self absorbed. Manipulative. Puts you down sometimes, so it lowers your self-esteem just enough for him to gain a little control over you. Makes it all about him. He doesn't make much effort. Still interested in other girls. The list goes on.
