Crush on my classmate :) just sharing

My school year (I'm a first year JC student) started just a month ago, and the school just assigned us to our new classes, so I wouldn't say that I know my classmates that well yet.

So there's this guy I like, and I think he likes me too but we're just too shy to say it.

What is your opinion on a girl asking a guy out? I might make a move and ask him to hang out soon.

As a geeky guy, I would be overjoyed if a girl asked me out. I've been where you are (just the other way around) and I think I can safely say you're over-thinking it. You're waiting for the right time, you're trying to find ways to talk to him, but really you just need to take the leap. Take a deep breath, walk up to him, and say "-Name-, I think you're very handsome and I'd like to get to know you better. Would you like to go out sometime?" I know how hard it is. Believe me, I've been there. But it will be worth it when you hear him say "Yes."

Haha I wish I were that brave, but I don't know if it's worth the risk, since I'm not 100% I like him in a 'crush' kind of way or just really want to get to know him better...if I mess up there's no way out, because I'll see him everyday in my class for the next 2 years!

I'm completely for the idea of asking him out, but the problem is that I can't ever get the chance to talk to him alone, and I'd have to be mad to ask him out in front if our shared group of good friends! :/ I wish I could just say YOLO and tell him I like him, but there's an extremely high chance that I'll just end up blushing, stuttering and running away.

Please help me pray that he'll make the first move, or that at least he'll show some signs of interest towards me...

I will keep praying for you. But maybe you could ask him as your leaving class together? Just an idea. I don't know, I think he likes another classmate though >< that's just another reason for me to be more afraid of confessing...

Update: I took the initiative to text him, it was a spur of the moment decision, and we've been texting a lot the past few days. Thanks for your prayer, God gave me the courage to at least talk to him, the two of us are closer friends now! We're going with a few friends to watch a movie next week, I'm really excited (more for the movie than him LOL)!

Update: I took the initiative to text him, it was a spur of the moment decision, and we've been texting a lot the past few days. Thanks for your prayer, God gave me the courage to at least talk to him, the two of us are closer friends now! We're going with a few friends to watch a movie next week, I'm really excited (more for the movie than him LOL)!
