  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi all. Does anyone know where I can find some lovely, not-too-expensive crucifices? I'm looking for a crucifix necklace to show my faith(and possibly, through "silent witness" opportunities, ease some particular individuals into not being terrified of my burgeoning beliefs). I would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks

www.justcatholic.com is another good one.

I don't know if other parishes do this or not but at mine, the catechumens receive a St. Benedict Crucifix (a rather nice one) when it gets close to Easter.  My wife was given one when she went through two years ago.

That's cool. I wonder what they do here? Ahh, I don't even know if I'll continue on to Catechumenate yet. I'm still trying to figure things out. Oh well... *sigh*

We received a crucifix as well during the welcoming rites. It was rather large and wooden, and hung on a simple string. It's beautiful, but not really a piece for every day wear.

I have this site...

They have the St. Benedict Crucifix, and it's lovely. There are lots more and all are extremely affordable. They also have Rosaries and a Stations of the Cross Chaplet that I've been coveting for awhile now. :sorry:

Anyway, happy shopping. :)
